Short-Term Counseling
• Alternatives EAP’s clinical approach is solution focused and goal oriented

• You are eligible for up to 8 sessions per incident.

Legal Advice and Discounts
Alternatives EAP offers no-charge legal consultation by phone with an attorney who specializes in the area of the caller’s concern
• If the attorney is retained there is a 25% discount off the attorney’s regular fees
• There is no limit on the number of times legal services may be used
• This service cannot be used for work-related issues

Eldercare Assistance
The Alternatives EAP staff of licensed geriatric specialists provides up to 3 hours per incident of personalized assistance.
Services provide assistance with the many responsibilities related to caring for an aging parent or loved one with special needs.
Services include:
• Identifying and evaluating facilities or services
• Assistance with Medicare or Medicaid eligibility

Childcare Assistance
Employees and family members receive up to 3 hours (per incident) of personalized childcare information
• Includes search help from a licensed daycare provider
• Also includes help with selecting the provider who best meets the family’s needs
• Adoption resources
• One on one counseling is always available from an EAP counselor for parents with childcare concerns
• Use of this service is unlimited during the year

Personal Money Management
• Employees have access to financial specialists
• 30-60 minute phone consultation
• Retirement planning
• Budget basics and debt management coaching
• Federal and state tax matters

Grab-A-Ride Program
Taxi, Uber, or Lyft
Alternatives EAP will reimburse any employee for Taxi, Uber or Lyft fare whenever they have had too much to drink and choose to take a cab home. Process is simple and confidential.
